Privacy Policy

1. Scope

MergeYard is operated by CatsDojo LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how CatsDojo LLC collects, uses, and protects information in connection with MergeYard, including the MergeYard website, Zendesk app, workspace administration flows, and related support services.

Where MergeYard processes personal information contained in Customer Data on behalf of a customer workspace, MergeYard generally acts as a processor or service provider and the customer acts as the controller or business for that data.

2. Zendesk app users

For Zendesk app users, MergeYard may process:

  • Zendesk subdomain and workspace context;
  • authenticated Zendesk user identity used for sign-in and access control;
  • ticket ID used to connect the correct ticket-linked discussion; and
  • limited ticket context such as the ticket subject used to label that discussion.

The current ticket-linked discussion flow does not rely on the full ticket body or requester identity to create and label the linked discussion.

MergeYard also stores collaboration content created in MergeYard, such as channels, messages, threads, direct messages, call metadata, and ticket-linked discussions.

3. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the service, MergeYard may collect:

  • account, profile, workspace, and administrative information;
  • billing, transaction, procurement, or review contact information;
  • support, security-review, and sales communications;
  • workspace and integration configuration details;
  • ticket identifiers and limited ticket metadata needed for support workflows;
  • messages, channels, direct messages, approvals, and audit-oriented records;
  • usage, browser, IP, device, and diagnostic information; and
  • cookies and similar technologies used for authentication and core site behavior.

4. How we use information

MergeYard uses personal information to:

  • provide, operate, secure, support, and maintain the service;
  • authenticate users and manage accounts, workspaces, and permissions;
  • connect internal collaboration to the right Zendesk workspace, agent, and ticket;
  • process billing and respond to commercial inquiries;
  • respond to support, privacy, and security requests;
  • detect abuse, misuse, fraud, and security incidents;
  • improve the service using aggregated or de-identified information; and
  • comply with law and enforce our agreements.

MergeYard does not sell personal information. MergeYard does not use Zendesk-originated Customer Data to train generalized AI models unless that use is clearly disclosed and separately authorized.

5. How we share information

MergeYard may share personal information:

  • with service providers that help operate and secure the service;
  • with integration providers when required for a customer-requested workflow;
  • with advisers, auditors, or acquirers in connection with corporate activity;
  • when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or security; and
  • with others at your direction or with your consent.

Public vendor information is available on the Subprocessors page, and additional detail can be provided during customer review when needed.

6. Retention, deletion, and security

MergeYard retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security and audit records, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Customer Data retention, return, and deletion are governed by the applicable subscription, workspace controls, and any written agreement with the customer.

Additional public security detail is available on the Security page.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or request portability of personal information, or to object to certain processing.

If MergeYard processes your information on behalf of a customer workspace, you should usually direct your request to that customer first. MergeYard will assist as required by applicable law and contract.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

MergeYard uses cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, security, and core site functionality. Disabling certain cookies may affect functionality.

9. Changes to this policy

MergeYard may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the date above when changes take effect.

10. Contact
